Good stuff, Jane. Newer bloggers shouldn't put so much stress on repeatedly creating content alone. While you should definitely have a variety of topics to kickstart the blog, focus a bit more on making connections and putting your name out there.
Comment, connect, befriend, interact, and develop a genuine interest in others. Otherwise your posts will only be seen by you (the author) and close friends. No one else.

Always on point.
Jane, do you this biggest mistake a lot of newbie bloggers are making?
It's the mindset of, "Let me build it, they will come." But in reality, it doesn't work like that.
For your blog to bring in traffic, you have to run it like a business. What makes a business unique is that they take marketing as everybody's business. That's exactly how it should be.
Don't stop at doing just a few things, instead, invest time and money to market your blog. If you do so, traffic will come.
Keep it up.
