Guest blogging – it is one of the most powerful ways to market your blog, to make connections and to grow you blog faster than you can imagine.
Blog commenting and guest blogging have helped me grow my blogs really faster.
Before I realised this, I was wasting a lot of time.
Only by making genuine connections you will be able to grow your blog. You must remember that you cannot grow a blog alone.
You need people! And you will be able to find and connect with lots of people (who are your potential customers) through guest blogging (as well as blog commenting).
Now in this post, my main focus is to talk about responding to comments in your guest post.
Mostly, this would be a guideline in most blogs if you want to guest post.
Host bloggers clearly tell you in the guidelines that you must be available and respond to comments that come in your guest post. I do so in my guest blogging guidelines page.
For the host blogger, the community needs to be welcomed and entertained. When someone leaves a comment, responding to the comment is the best courtesy, right?
But most guest bloggers think that everything is “done” once their guest post goes live! In fact, things have just started right after your post goes live.
Only then you get the opportunity to interact with people – your potential readers! That’s a golden opportunity and as a guest blogger you must grab it!
If you want to make the most out of your guest post, responding to comments is a crucial thing!

While I don't do a lot of guest posting, but I just did one on Enstine Muki's blog and I always make it a point to respond to the comments.
I figure if someone is nice enough to allow me to guest post, the least I can do is respond to the guest post.
After all, the purpose of guest posting is to get your name out there and build more relationships. You can't build relationships if you're not actually taking the time to respond to the comments.
Another thing that I think is important is to make sure that you're taking the time to promote the post as well.
